The “why” factor has always been a popular phrase. Why this, why that? What’s even more popular is people seem to Blame God for everything.
When devastation hits, what’s the first thing we hear…Oh God, why? Even more interesting is that when something suddenly happens, even people that don’t believe in the name or position of authority or other… say “Jesus.” …as if, to point a finger of blame for the issue.
I am going to play with this phrase and say…”Why don’t I understand this?” To wonder is natural and accepted, but to always blame our problems on the creator is not fair.
So, while on a walk through the mall, I run into an old friend from 15 years ago. I say, “Hey man, can I borrow a dollar.” He says man, I don’t really know you anymore, we haven’t talked in 15 years, and the first thing you say, is can I borrow a dollar. Man please. Difference between the old friend and God, is that God won’t shun your request, just because you didn’t continue to build the relationship between you two.
Have a little patience. Even if we are not patient with one another, have patience with God. We are so caught up in what we can’t see, and ignore that there could be things happening that we don’t see that truly work in our favor.
These words are not to make you lean in one direction or another, only to provoke thought outside the box. Our personal worlds reside within the atmosphere of a larger world. Take it or leave it, go in peace and in patience and in expectation of miracles….WHY NOT!
