We go to the bank, cash a check, and wait until we are handed money. Even if it takes linger than expected, we will not walk out empty handed. We go to the grocery store, place items into our carts, pay at the register and expect that we will be allowed to leave with those items. We are worried about a loved one, not coming home, so we wait and wait and wait until they appear through the door, sigh, now we can sleep.
We pray and ask various requests from God, yet if we don’t receive them immediately, we lose patience. Our hands are open, but our patience is short. No matter the situation just hold on as best as you humanly know how. If patients run dry, pray for patience to be refreshed and continue to believe in the end result.
This holds no guarantee, but I’d rather wait and see the gift, then to give up, when I only need a few more days of patience. There is no fear that can’t be overcome. There is no race that can’t be won. There is no heart that can’t be changed. There is no soul that can’t have peace. Peace
