In my spirit, this was a solid phrase. We really do tend to build walls that we claim are for our protection. This cliché, “Out of sight, out of mind”, is not so true. Some of these emotional barriers/walls only alienate us from fellowship with others. He, she, they are not worthy of me or my time. If we all think in this manner, we could simply go home, close our doors, turn off the lights and never emerge again… because it would be as though one has died.
In conclusion, it takes a lot of time to build walls that eventually will need to come down, if we want to grow. I know… your goal is too keep out certain things or people out, but the more walls we each build, the more enclosed in them we become. Isolated by the works of own hands. Start chipping at that wall and break it down, so that you can once again emerge.
