An old man walks confidently into a room with crowds of people. He makes it all the way to the very middle of the room stands still… begins to clap his hands and yells… it’s not easy being perfect.
The crowd silences down and someone says? Do u work a good job? He says no. Another person says do you own a house? He says no. Another says, your clothes aren’t even clean, do you own any new clothes. He says no! Another person says, look at us and look at you. If anyone has a better chance of being perfect it would be us.
The old man says… you didn’t give me a chance to finish. It’s not easy being perfect but… I have a perfect understanding that I am not perfect and it is him, our God, that has given me this perfect and clear understanding. It has nothing to do with clothes, job, houses, or any monetary thing. I am resting up on his righteousness which I pray will cover all of my unrighteousness.
Let us humble ourselves beneath the perfection that shines beyond anything we could ever do. The old man says…It isn’t easy being perfect, but somebody has to admit it.
