I looked into the mirror today and stood with my mouth wide open. I had one arm; I lost the other in a motorcycle accident. I had a broken tooth, because I was punched for talking too much. My face was scraped because I drank too much last night and I hit the floor because my balance was off. I had gained weight, and didn’t even realize it, because of the stresses of life. I am not a good looking as the models and actors on TV. I don’t speak clearly because I have a vocal cord issue.
I wanted to cry, just because.
I wanted to hide, just because.
I wanted to scream, just because.
I was ready to doubt my future, just because.
I was ready to ignore the good, just because.
Something said to look closer, flesh is flesh, spirit if spirit. Your flesh is temporary. If you would have looked at your heart first, through the windows of your soul (eyes) you would have seen a perfect creation. Hearts that pursue contents of purity have no outer blemishes. A heart that emits humility is like having a new arm or perfect teeth. By faith, do not look at the outer person. Peace must grow on the inside and permeate out, similar to the scent of fresh bread baking in the oven. Can you smell the great destiny before you?
