Hunter Chronicles D485

802419_sThe motives of the heart are strong motives. They define who we are and the types of things we can do, have the potential of doing and seek to do. When the motives of the heart supersede the motives of the flesh, things tend to lean on the good side. When the flesh pushes away the motives of the heart, then things tend to lean in the direction that we least desire.

I am reminded of this proverbial scripture: Proverbs 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck. How unbelievably powerful is this? Let not mercy and truth forsake thee. Forsake means to abandon, renounce or give up. Bind means to attach, bandage or fasten. So…let me insert these definitions in the scripture.

Do not let mercy or truth give up on you. Do not let mercy or truths abandon you, fasten then to your neck, attach them to your heart.

This scripture is written as if mercy and truth are our friends or living guides. It’s just like a movie, when someone is about to die from an accident or foul play and the person next them is saying, don’t you die on me; you better fight and not give up.

God is saying do not lot mercy and truth give up on you; you go after them when you need them.
