As much as I would prefer to just close my eyes, I know that I cannot. I would rather avoid the visuals that would hinder my walk and slow down progression.
In an abstract way, at various times, there is comfort in being blind or not seeing the full picture. Over and over again, we say, we don’t want to know and as long as I don’t know, things are ok.
Things will never be ok, by not knowing. Through truth we are set free. And while the comfort of closed eyes seems to be grand, let’s use those moments to pray earnestly for an advancement of our heart and minds to accept truth, reality and come to a place of everlasting peace or even an extension.
God would rather us see the truth, than to shield our eyes from it.
